CAT 2024 Provisional Answer Key Released: Challenge Window Opens

CAT 2024 Answer Key 

IIM Calcutta begins the CAT 2024 answer key challenge process today 04 December 2024 at 6:00 pm. The contestants who have an objection regarding the official answer keys issued by the institute for the exams held on November 24, 2024, will be able to challenge it with the help of an online application form.

IIM Calcutta announced on November 29 that the provisional answer key of CAT 2024 would be available on December 3, 2024, and the objection window would also open on the same day. However, candidates could download the CAT 2024 response sheet along with the official answers on November 29 only.

IIM Calcutta issued a statement, where it announced that the " provisional answer key of CAT 2024  administered on 24 November 2024 would be released on 3 December 2024".

It further added, "Those candidates who have successfully completed the test shall be given the option to raise objections, if any, to the answer keys through the Objection Management link on the CAT website at https://iimcat.ac.in using the CAT application login ID and password".

CAT 2024 Answer Key Objection Window

The objection window of the CAT 2024 answer key will be opened between December 3 and December 5, 2024. Candidates can raise objections through the following steps.

1. Go to iimcat.ac.in
2. Click on the 'Login' option.
3. Enter the CAT login ID and password.
4. Navigate to the Objection tab.
5. Click the '+' sign to add an objection.
6. Cross-check the question number from the PDF.
7. Fill in relevant details.
8. Upload supporting documents.
9. Pay the objection fee, which is INR 1,200 per objection.

What Happens After Challenging the Answer Key?

After candidates submit their challenges, the CAT 2024 examination authority will scrutinize the objections and check whether the claims are valid or false. Following this process is listed below:

2. From the review, an answer key for the final answers will be produced and made available on the official website.
3. Result Calculation: the result will be calculated with the final answer key with each candidate's marks.
