MAT 2024 exam will be conducted in PBT and CBT modes in December. There will be one PBT and 2 CBTs. Candidates can register for the December 2024 MAT on the AIMA MAT website and choose the preferred exam mode in the application form. MAT registration for CBT 1 ended on 30th November 2024. The admit card for the same will be issued on 3rd December 2024.

The MAT exam 2024 registration last date exam for PBT is 7th December and for CBT 2 is 15th December 2024. Candidates should note that the MAT test cities for PBT and CBT may be different, so they should choose as per the availability in their city. Read below all about MAT 2024.

MAT exam is conducted in three different modes – Offline or Paper-based Test (PBT), Online or Computer-based Test (CBT) and Remote or Internet-based Proctored Test (IBT). Before applying for the exam, candidates must check their eligibility for MAT 2024 on the website.

Latest Updates:

  1. MAT 2024 Admit Card for CBT 1 will be released online on December 3 after 5:00 PM.
  2. The last date for registration for MAT 2024 exam for CBT 1 closed on November 30, 2024. The application window for CBT 2 will remain open till December 15, 2024. Meanwhile, candidates can register online for MAT PBT till December 7, 2024.
  3. The AIMA MAT December exam schedule is now available on the official website – mat.aima.in.

MAT 2024 Exam Highlights

MAT Exam is conducted four times a year and candidates can choose to take it in person, paper-based or online. The exam tests the candidate's aptitude in areas such as language comprehension, data analysis, mathematical skills, intelligence and critical reasoning, and the Indian and global environment. While there are no age restrictions or minimum qualification requirements, a bachelor's degree from a recognized university is mandatory. MAT 2024 December session is scheduled to be held on 7, 14, and 22 December 2024. The registration process for this session is currently ongoing and will end on 15 December 2024. Candidates can choose between Paper-Based Examination (PBT) and Computer-Based Examination (CBT) modes. MAT Admit cards will be issued on different dates for each mode of examination.

MAT 2024 Registration and Application Process

MAT application forms for PBT, CBT and IBT can be filled out on the official website of the AIMA-MAT exam website. Please refer to the MAT application process below:

  1. Login to the AIMA MAT website i.e. mat.aima.in
  2. Enter basic details and select a password
  3. Click on “Register”
  4. An OTP will be sent to the registered phone number
  5. Use the OTP to verify the phone number and log in
  6. Pay the fee amount via debit/credit card or net banking
  7. Select the exam mode and two test cities (for PBT/CBT)
  8. Fill the remaining fields
  9. Upload photo and signature in the prescribed format
  10. Select five institutes for AIMA to send your MAT score
  11. Download the copy of the duly filled application form after submission

How to Apply for MAT 2024

Step 1: Visit the MAT website (https://mat.aima.in/).

Step 2: Enter the valid email address and mobile number to request to receive a one-time password for verification.

Step 3: Log in assigned details to the log-in page and carry out the registration task.

Step 4: Finish the process by choosing the exam mode, and test city options, as well as payment mode and other details.

Step 5: The required scanned documents of a newly colored photograph and signature on a white paper should be uploaded by using a black pen in a specific format.

Step 6: Enter the details like name, age, sex, educational qualifications, experience and management institute options (MI) of your choice.

Step 7: Click on the "Submit" button to send the details.

Step 8: Get a hard copy of the duly completed application form for future use.

MAT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for the MAT Exam candidates must meet the following the MAT eligibility criteria for PBT, CBT, IBT

  • Qualification: Candidates must have a university degree in any discipline to apply.
  • Number of Attempts: There will be no specific age limit to appear for the exam.
  • Age Limit: There will be no specific age limit to appear for the exam.
  • Appearance: Candidates who appear for the final exam will also be eligible to appear for the exam.

MAT 2024 Exam Pattern

Here we have provided the exam pattern of MAT 2024 for PBT, CBT, IBT examination:

  1. Exam Mode: The exam will be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT), Paper Based Test (PBT) and IBT modes.
  2. Duration: A total of 120 minutes will be provided to complete the exam.
  3. Section: There will be a total of 5 sections in the question paper.
  4. Total Questions: A total of 150 questions will be asked in the exam.
  5. Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) will be asked.
  6. Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded.
  7. Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

MAT Exam 2024 Syllabus

The MAT exam syllabus is divided into five sections: Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, and Indian and Global Environment. Each section tests specific skills such as reading comprehension, quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, logical reasoning, and general knowledge of current affairs and business trends. Understanding the syllabus and practising with relevant study materials is essential to pass the MAT exam.

MAT 2024 Preparation Tips

Candidates can check out some useful tips to prepare for MAT and achieve a better rank in the entrance exam:

  1. Prepare for the exam as per the exam pattern.
  2. Check the complete syllabus on the website and study accordingly.
  3. Try to choose the best possible books to prepare.
  4. Divide your time and make a proper schedule for the exam.
  5. Try to devote more and more time to study and follow the schedule properly.
  6. Make sure to use question papers and sample papers from previous years as a help.
  7. Exercise regularly and keep yourself fit and healthy.

MAT 2024 Admit Card

AIMA will issue MAT 2024 Admit Card for for PBT, CBT, IBT to the registered applicants before each mode of the entrance exam. The admit card will be issued approximately two to three days before the date of the exam. The admit card will be issued on 10th December 2024 (PBT), 3rd December 2024 (CBT-1) and 18th December 2024 (CBT-2).

Only registered candidates will be able to download the admit card by logging in to their dashboard with details like registered email address and password. It is mandatory for registered candidates to carry a valid photo ID along with the admit card. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the exam without a valid admit card for MAT 2024 and a valid ID proof.

MAT exam Result 2024

MAT exam results are released on the official website, mat.aima.in. Candidates can download the official result chart using their login credentials. MAT results are also released in four phases, after the exams.

After downloading the results, candidates can apply for admission to over 800 business schools to pursue MBA. However, candidates must remember that the selection criteria for MBA may vary for different institutions participating in MAT. Below is the process to download the MAT 2024 result and score chart.

  2. Click on 'Login for MAT'
  3. Enter Roll Number and Registration Number
  4. Click on the 'Submit' tab
  5. Select Exam Month
  6. Go to the scorecard download option
  7. MAT 2024 scorecard will appear on the screen

MAT Cut Off 2024

MAT cut-off score for for PBT, CBT, IBT is the minimum score required for selection for the group discussion and personal interview round of MBA colleges that accept the exam score for admission. Candidates who meet the MAT cut-off score are selected for the admission round. MAT cut-off scores are usually lower than other MBA entrance exams like CAT, XAT or CMAT. MAT 2024 Counselling Procedure

The participating institutes will arrange the MAT 2024 counselling examination as AIMA will not conduct any counselling procedure for MAT examination. After the declaration of the result, the authority will start the counselling procedure. Candidates will have to carry their documents for the verification procedure. Candidates will be selected for admission based on their score in MAT examination, category and availability of seats in the colleges.
