The Consortium of NLUs is expected to release the CLAT 2024 Result within ten days of conducting the CLAT Exam. The CLAT 2024 exam date is December 1, 2024. CLAT counselling: The number of candidates called for counselling is five times the number of seats available in each category. The Consortium will upload the list of eligible candidates on its website before the counselling registration begins.
CLAT cutoff: NLU Consortium publishes the CLAT Cutoff on its official website along with seat allotment. The cut-off is the minimum grade/degree a candidate must obtain to be admitted to a 5-year LLB or 1-year LLB program.
The NLU Consortium will also compile the CLAT 2024 merit list after the declaration of results. Candidates can download the CLAT PDF from consortiumofnlus.ac.in during counselling. CLAT Merit List contains information like marks and marks of the candidates who appeared in the exam along with all bar marks and category marks.
If two or more candidates have the same number of marks in CLAT 2024, they will be awarded merit marks as per the rule of equal marks:
The NLU Consortium has formed an Appeal Committee to receive and respond to all appeals related to the CLAT 2024 results from the candidates. Only those candidates who are against the release of the answer key can appeal the CLAT result. CLAT 2024 appeal result online window opened on December 11 at 12:00 PM. Candidates can file a complaint through the CLAT candidate portal by clicking the File Complaint button.
Steps to Submit Grievances Against CLAT Result 2024:
The consortium will organize CLAT Counseling soon after the CLAT 2024 result declaration. It creates a shortlist of narrow candidates. The number of candidates shortlisted for CLAT is five times the number of CLAT seats available in each category. This means that approximately 1,600 candidates will be invited to fill approximately 3,200 seats in the 5-year integrated LLB courses. Instead, around 6000 candidates will be required for 1300 CLAT for PG. Candidates are awarded NLUs based on the marks given while filling out the examination form and NLU regulations.
The consortium conducts CLAT counselling online. Candidates will receive instructions regarding their selection via SMS and email. One has to register for counselling in the CLAT login portal and pay the registration fee. CLAT counselling fee is Rs. 30,000 for general category candidates and Rs. 20,000 for SC and ST category candidates The last date to register for CLAT 2024 counselling is 22nd December 2023.
Candidates appearing for CLAT 2024 counselling will be considered for allotment of seats in state law universities. Seats are allotted based on merit and preference. When places are allocated, applicants have the option to accept a place, request a raise or leave the admissions process. Those who have accepted the offer of admission must pay the NLU course fee to the chosen university. It should be noted that candidates will be considered only for those NLUs who were part of their NLU merit list.
CLAT cut-off is the minimum threshold for admission in NLUs. This is expressed as the candidate's final ranking in a particular category. Candidates appearing for CLAT counselling should check the previous year's limits for their admission chances. CLAT cutoffs depend on various factors like candidates' score and rank, NLU preference, availability of seats etc.
