The collection includes books, theses, periodicals, standards, reprints, maps, toposheets, globes, and CD-ROMs. The library continually expands, acquiring an average of 500 volumes per year.

Given the advancements at the cellular and molecular levels, and the contemporary era of information and molecular biotechnology, the establishment of advanced analytical laboratory facilities has become imperative. To provide extensive practical exposure and hands-on training to postgraduate students, and to foster advanced research in emerging areas such as molecular biology and biotechnology, the Central Instrumentation Laboratory (CIL) was established in 2008 in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, with financial support from ICAR, New Delhi.
