AIMA, the organisation that administers the test, has released the comprehensive MAT Eligibility Criteria 2024. Candidates must have completed their graduation in any discipline from an accredited university in order to be eligible for the 2024 MAT. Additionally, candidates may apply for the MAT 2024 exam even if they are in their final year of graduation. To register for MAT 2024, there is no minimum age requirement. The MAT 2024 application forms for the February session are now available from AIMA which administers the MAT exam, which is required for admission to MBA and PGDM programmes at esteemed B-schools around the nation. Candidates filling out the MAT 2024 application form have the choice of selecting up to five colleges.

MAT Eligibility Criteria 2024

MAT is a national-level entrance exam which is conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programs offered by various B-schools across the country. Given below are the eligibility criteria that the candidate should check to qualify for MAT 2024.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Final-year graduation students can also apply.

Age Limit

There is no age limit to appear for the MAT examination.

Minimum Marks

There is no minimum aggregate percentage requirement for appearing in MAT. However, candidates should check the eligibility criteria of the B-schools where they want to apply as some institutes may have their own minimum marks requirement.

Work Experience

Work experience is not mandatory to appear for the MAT examination. However, some B-schools may give preference to candidates with work experience

Nationality

Indian as well as foreign candidates can apply for the MAT examination.

Number of Attempts

There is no limit on the number of times a candidate can appear for the MAT examination.

MAT 2024 Reservation Criteria

The reservation criteria for the MAT entrance exam 2024 are as per the guidelines set by the Government of India. The following are the reservation criteria for the MAT entrance exam 2024:

  1. Scheduled Caste (SC): 15%
  2. Scheduled Tribe (ST): 7.5%
  3. Other Backward Classes (OBC): 27%
  4. Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 10%
  5. Persons with Disabilities (PWD): 5%

These reservation criteria are applicable to all the participating institutes of MAT 2024. However, the reservation policy may vary from institute to institute.

MAT conducting body AIMA does not specify any reservation or different criteria as per colleges. However various participating institutes have set up their own rules of MAT exam eligibility percentage for admission in the respective institutes. Some of these criteria implied by some colleges are:
